Paradoxical serendipity? 13 total current and former cast members, production crew from daytime soap opera General Hospital have died since 2021

TheCOVIDBlog.com
November 17, 2023

When this blogger stayed home sick (or faking sick) from elementary school, grandma would come babysit. The living room television was all hers from 11 a.m. forward so she could “watch her stories.” In re-watching all those daytime soap opera opening themes, only The Young and the Restless jogs memories. But it’s almost guaranteed grandma watched General Hospital because it was the top-rated daytime soap opera from 1979 to 1988.

Youth, disinterest, and not understanding what was going on in said shows, prevented this blogger from ever watching even one episode of a daytime soap opera back in those days. The few flash memories always entailed some guy cheating on his wife, some woman having a baby with her side piece, divorces, etc. to the tune of very dramatic music scores.

Feel free to play the following score while reading this one. Vaccine mandates, lawsuits and deaths changed General Hospital from a T.V. soap opera to a real-life drama.

Act I: the vaccine mandate and cast shuffling

General Hospital is produced by ABC Signature, the production arm of American Broadcasting Company (ABC). The latter is owned by The Walt Disney Company.

Disney implemented a vaccine mandate for all on-site U.S. workers on July 30, 2021. Employees had until September 30, 2021 to be fully vaccinated. Two General Hospital cast members, Mr. Steve Burton and Mr. Ingo Rademacher, refused to receive the injections.

Mr. Burton, 53, was a long-time cast member. His role as Jason Morgan started in 1991 when he was 21 years old. Said role spanned from 1991 to 2012, then from 2017 to 2021. Mr. Burton was a cast member on The Young and the Restless from 2013 to 2017.

He announced via Instagram on November 23, 2021 that he’d been fired from General Hospital for refusing to receive the injections. Both his medical and religious exemptions were denied.

His final appearance on the show was October 27, 2021.

Mr. Rademacher, 52, was also a long-time cast member. He played the role of Jasper Jacks from 1996 to 2013, then from 2016 to 2021, with a slight break in the latter time frame as well. He wrote via Instagram on November 7, 2021, “I will stand for medical freedom.”

The drama extended further. Mr. Rademacher re-posted a tweet that called Biden’s assistant secretary of health Rachel Levine “dude.” Note that Levine is a man that dresses up in women’s clothing (“transgender”).

“Rachel” Levine.

Mr. Rademacher’s last appearance on the show was November 22, 2021, which was pre-recorded. The re-posted tweet happened earlier that month when he was likely already fired. “Cassandra” James is another General Hospital cast member. He, like Levine, is a dude that wears women’s clothing. James expressed “outrage” regarding the tweet. Another cast member, Nancy Lee Grahn, came out in support of James.

ABC and the foregoing cast members sprinkled in the “transphobic” card in trying to justify the firing of Mr. Rademacher.

Burton’s character was killed off in a collapsed tunnel accident in the November 19, 2021 episode of the show. Rademacher’s character was written out of the show in his last episode on November 22, 2021. He “moved to Australia.”

Mr. Rademacher posted his farewell Instagram video on December 5, 2021.

Act II: the lawsuit

Mr. Rademacher filed a lawsuit in California state court (Los Angeles) against ABC on December 13, 2021. One of his lawyers was Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The lawsuit alleged a violation of Article I, Sec. I of the California Constitution – the right to privacy. Several claims under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (“FEHA”) were added later on in an amended complaint.

For the record, this was a terribly-executed lawsuit from the very beginning. Mr. Rademacher’s lawyers could have and should have filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Once six months had elapsed or the EEOC made a decision (whichever came first), they could have filed a federal lawsuit under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

Federal standard are much more Plaintiff-friendly than California standards in these types of lawsuits.

It appears the lawyers, led by John W. Howard in San Diego, wanted to make an immediate splash for media purposes. They conjured quite the creative claims in order to keep the story going without interruptions. This lawsuit would have had a much better chance at success in federal court as an employment discrimination lawsuit based on sincerely-held religious beliefs. Digression.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephen Goorvitch granted ABC’s motion for summary judgment on June 5. The Court sided with ABC, in a decision that reads like a big pharma production, with Fauci as the executive director. In a nutshell, the Court did not believe Rademacher’s religious beliefs were sincere.

His lawyers argued, among other things, that he was fired because he voted for Trump and opposed vaccine mandates. They turned it political instead of religious. Further, attempting to assert religious rights under a right to privacy law will almost always fail. It’s unclear how much RFK, Jr. was involved in this case. But it would be very disappointing if he had a leading role.

Act III: Better to lose a lawsuit than lose your life

A few points of order:

  • General Hospital has been on the air continuously since 1963
  • The vaccine mandate was implemented in July 2021
  • Americans over age 65 and healthcare workers were first in line for the vaccines in December 2020
  • Several of the following people were quite advanced in age

We’ve covered at least seven Netflix employees who have died suddenly since the company issued its vaccine mandate in August 2021. But those individuals all worked on different shows and sets. General Hospital must be absolutely cursed, as even former stars who haven’t been on the show in years have died coincidentally since January 2021.

John Reilly – died January 9, 2021

Mr. John Henry Matthew Reilly played Sean Donely on General Hospital from 1984 to 1995, and then again in 2013. He passed away on January 9, 2021 at age 86. There are unconfirmed reports that the cause of death was a heart attack.

Note that January 2021 to June 2021 was a time of coordinated euthanasia via mRNA and viral vector DNA injections at nursing homes across the Western world.

Make of that what you will.

Christopher Pennock – died February 12, 2021

Mr. Christopher Pennock had a short-lived role as District Attorney Mitch Williams on General Hospital from 1979 to 1980. He died on February 12, 2021 at age 76. Mr. Pennock was diagnosed with skin cancer in late 2020. Guess what exacerbates that…

Stuart Damon – died June 29, 2021

Mr. Stuart Damon played Dr. Alan Quartermaine on General Hospital from 1977 to 2013. He won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1996, and a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1999.

Mr. Damon died from kidney failure at age 84 on June 29, 2021. Kidney-shredding “COVID-19 drug” Remdesivir was quite common around that time.

Bergen Williams – died July 20, 2021

Ms. Laura Lynn “Bergen” Williams played Alice Gunderson, the maid for the aforementioned Dr. Quartermaine, on General Hospital from 2002 to 2015.

She died on July 20, 2021, reportedly from a kidney disorder called Wilson’s Disease. But the family did not report her death publicly until four months later, which raises all kinds of questions.

Jay Pickett – collapsed and died on a horse on July 30, 2021

Mr. Jay Harris Pickett played the roles of David Harper and Lorenzo Alcazar on General Hospital from 2006 to 2008 (61 episodes). He was on location in Idaho shooting the film “Treasure Valley” on July 30, 2021 when he collapsed while riding a horse. He died later that day at age 60.

One of the movie producers said the cause of death “appears to have been a heart attack.” That means sudden cardiac arrest.

Lindsey Pearlman – died February 18, 2022

Ms. Lindsey Pearlman played bartender Margaret McMorris in two episodes of General Hospital in 2020. She died on February 18, 2022 at age 43. The cause of death was suicide.

Note her work in 2021: Selena: The Series (Netflix); Haus of Vicious (BET – Paramount Global); and The Ms. Pat Show (BET+ – Paramount Global). Both Netflix and Paramount had vaccine mandates from the summer of 2021 until slight relaxations in the Fall of 2022.

Sonya Eddy – died on December 19, 2022

Ms. Sonya Eddy played Epiphany Johnson on General Hospital from 2006 until her death. She was the first active cast member to pass away, on December 19, 2022, at age 55. The cause of death was “an infection after a procedure.”

N’Neka Garland – died March 28, 2023

Ms. N’Neka Garland joined the General Hospital staff as an executive assistant in 2001. She worked at the show for the next 22 years, with her final position being coordinating producer. Ms. Garland was the half-sister of late rapper Tupac Shakur.

She died on March 28, 2023 at age 49. The reported cause of death was a heart attack.

Jacklyn Zeman – died May 9, 2023

Ms. Jacklyn Zeman was a General Hospital lifer. She played prostitute-turned-nurse Bobbie Spencer from 1977 to 2010, then from 2013 until her death. Ms. Zeman was nominated four times for Daytime Emmy Awards (1981, 1995, 1997, 1998), but never won.

She died from hyper-aggressive cancer on May 9, 2023 at age 70. Just a month earlier, on April 5, she was celebrating the 60th anniversary of General Hospital; and displayed no signs of sickness.

Charles “Chip” Dox – died August 15, 2023

Mr. Charles “Chip” Dox worked as a production designer for most of his adult life. He was the Art Director for the soap opera Days Of Our Lives from 1980 to 1989. His General Hospital days were from 2005 to 2015, where he won his second Daytime Emmy Award for designing the fancy home sets for the wealthy Quartermaine family in the show. Mr. Dox retired in 2015.

He died on August 15, 2023. No cause of death was ever released.

Billy Miller – died September 15, 2023

Mr. William John Miller II played Jason Morgan and Drew Cain on General Hospital from 2014 to 2019. He starred in The Young and the Restless prior to that. Mr. Miller died by suicide on September 15, 2023 at age 43.

Again, you must look at his other work to deduce vaccination status. He worked on the CBS (Paramount Global) show NCIS in 2022. We’ve already covered this.

Craig Sjodin – died September 15, 2023

Mr. Craig Oliver Sjodin was a photographer for ABC/Disney for 39 years. All the soap opera websites say Mr. Sjodin played a “key role” as the still photographer on the General Hospital set.

He died on September 15, 2023 at age 67 as the result of a “bicycle accident.” Granted this blogger lost one of his closest friends due to a bike “accident” in 2017. But she was essentially murdered, as a cop deliberately ran over her. No details were provided at all regarding Mr. Sjodin’s death, making the explanation suspicious.

Tyler Christopher – died October 31, 2023

Mr. Tyler Christopher Baker played the roles of Nikolas Cassadine and Connor Bishop on General Hospital from 1996 to 2016. He collapsed and died at his apartment in San Diego on October 31 at age 50. The cause of death was sudden cardiac arrest.

Real-life soap opera

One thing is certain – soap opera careers come with job security. Many of these people worked for General Hospital and other soap operas for pretty much all their entire adult lives. It’s all they ever knew. If one show got tired of them, they’d just move on to another one.

Soap opera actors aren’t mega-Hollywood rich. Most of them earn a few hundred to a few thousand dollars per episode. Lauralee Bell is the richest soap opera actress ever – worth over $200 million. But that doesn’t really count, since her dad is the show’s creator (Young and the Restless).

Susan Lucci is probably the richest organic soap opera actress ever. She worked on All My Children for 41 years, and is reportedly worth $80 million. Eric Braeden, who has worked on The Young and the Restless since 1980, is worth $25 million. The other top-earning soap opera stars made money via other endeavors. It’s steady work, but not necessarily life-setting, lucrative work. That’s probably why nearly all of them received the injections without pushing back. They love the regular paychecks.

Again, many of these General Hospital deaths were people of advanced age. But it’s stories like this that can turn non-believers into spiritual diehards overnight. This show is 60 years of extramarital affairs, divorces, illegitimate children, money, mammon, and, since 2021, vaccines.

Old women and homemakers watched these shows prior to the turn of the millennium because there was nothing better to watch during the daytime. Young women today watch because, as Peter Buckman wrote, “A soap opera is like sex outside marriage: many have tried it, but most are ashamed of being caught.”

Mr. Steve Burton and Mr. Ingo Rademacher should feel good about themselves. But the latter is now struggling with mental health issues, as he’s still trying to adjust after being ousted from the show. It’s like a divorce. The guy worked there for 25 years.

Mr. Burton separated from his wife of 23 years in May 2022. He filed for divorce two months later. She got pregnant with her fourth child…and it was not Mr. Burton’s kid. He lost his wife of 23 years and his job of 32 years, all in a matter of nine months.

Despite their post General Hospital struggles, at least they can expect to live natural human life cycles. Both men will also die with their integrity and dignity intact. All of their GMO former cast mates are quietly envious, particularly with everything that’s happened since 2021.

Money comes and goes. You get only one chance on this Earth. Choose wisely.

Stay vigilant and protect your friends and loved ones.

thank you so much for posting this. this is an almost unbelievable list. i cannot explain the vitriol i received when i mentioned on a post about tyler christopher’s death that just because he hadn’t been on the show during the vaxx mandates did not mean he wasn’t in another job where they were mandated, or that he got them of his own volition. i was truly ripped to shreds in the comments. thank you for understanding and exposing the covenant with the devil that took place here in the multitudes of people taking these shots to save their jobs or to show their solidarity with the death cult. karma has come very quickly for so many who sold themselves for it.

In Hollywood, basically everyone had to get the shots to work. You can see from his credits, he was in numerous movies that were released in 2022. Meaning he definitely had the shots. Collapsing on the floor of his apartment? Wow

They sell their soul for some money and some fame. Gee. What can go wrong? Those 2 guys can move on and find careers outside of Hollywood and show business which is just a sex slave market if you ask me. Find real value in themselves and satisfaction they made the right call.

College students watched General Hospital back in the day. Luke and Laura is all I used to hear.

The two male actors made the right choice. They need to discover a new purpose going forward. I wish them all the best.

Brian, your friend had a beautiful smile and seemed like a force to be reckoned with for the causes she championed. Sounds like there is a horrifying story behind her death. May she be at peace and her children in a good place now.

“Misgendering trans folks in violence”. Oh brother.
No better group of people were forced to take part in such an experiment. A bunch of mindless lemmings and nutters.

I believe it is the same when using their “dead name” and “government name”. Absolutely could be wrong on this one. Someone with better knowledge, please chime in.

Don’t even know what to say anymore. World is on fire and the insane asylums are closed. It’s getting spooky living on this Earth.

ABC… Owned by Disney… I’d say getting fired is the least of their systematically traumatized employees’ problems.

Speaking of JFK Jr. He shot himself in the foot by groveling on his hands and knees to the Israeli lobby. The latest flare up in Palestine pushed him to show his true colors.

Just another rich guy not to waste one’s time on at all. 100% controlled opposition.

He may be an OK dude at heart, but he knows who control his bank account.
